This project is in its early stages of photographic representation. I am using radio frequencies as a compositional tool to re-arrange organic matter. We are surrounded by unfelt frequencies: those of human design and those radiating from natural sources. Harmonic structures in individual cells, and molecular harmonics of differing densities cause new relationships in structure, altering the path of natural design induced by microwave transmissions and modulated through the manipulation of non-visible spectra. In short, I am able to compose organic matter with the ultimate goal of creating a compositional tool through the use of my violin, voice, or computer generated sound (max/MSP). As I perform I am able to see in real time the organic compositions as they forge new relationships and interactions. |

(Above) Variable resonant chamber constructed of polished anodized aluminum with set standards for frequency variation, and harmonic tuning. Internal geometry standardized from RF detection at localized focal length proportional to sample platform, modulated response to resonate frequency. Radio transmitter and receiver tuned to 720-780 MHz boosted to 1 GHz through step-up transformers; output magnetron. Input radio transmission from Piezo cell stimulated from contact on throat, or violin, or sound programs written in map/MSP. Real time composition with organic material within resonant chamber through optical complications 12,000 X magnification threshold. Visibility from scintillator, organic specimen platform mercury bead. Ambient temperature variance 0+6 degree F increase.
